Campaign Widgets

Campaign Widgets are promotional banners displayed at the top of the home screen in the Cata customer app. They are used to highlight active offers, new menu items, loyalty programmes, and upcoming promotions.

What Campaign Widgets Do

  • Inform customers about active deals and discounts
  • Promote loyalty programmes (e.g. earn points, stamp cards)
  • Drive awareness of new products or seasonal offers
  • Link directly to a promotion or product when tapped

When to Use

Use Campaign Widgets whenever you have a time-sensitive offer or new content you want to surface prominently in the app. Pair with a Promotion (Deal, Voucher, or Promo Code) for maximum impact.

Cross-Sells

Cross-Sells are product suggestions presented to customers during checkout. When a customer is about to complete their order, Cross-Sells prompt them to add related or complementary items — for example, a drink to accompany a meal.

⚠️ When a campaign is present, the default image (a fallback mechanism) no longer shows on the app. If you would like both to show, upload the default image as a new concurrent campaign.

What Cross-Sells Do

  • Increase average order value by suggesting additional items at the point of purchase
  • Promote high-margin items (e.g. beverages, sides, desserts)
  • Allow customers to optionally add suggested items with one tap

When to Use

Cross-Sells work best when the suggested items are genuinely complementary to what the customer has already selected. Avoid suggesting unrelated products, as this can feel intrusive.
