How to Access

Click Settings in the sidebar under Manage Your Business.

Team Management

Manage who has access to your Backoffice and your Kitchen Display System (KDS).

  • KDS Management — Register and activate tablet devices for your Kitchen Display System. The KDS receives incoming orders and helps kitchen staff manage preparation.
  • Employees — Add, edit, and remove Backoffice users. Assign roles and permissions to control what each team member can view and edit.

Performance Management

Enable or disable customer-facing features and configure their behaviour.

  • Order Ratings — Enable the Reviews and Ratings feature that allows customers to rate their orders. Configure what feedback customers are asked to leave. This must be turned on before any ratings data appears on the Reviews and Ratings page.
  • Scheduled Order Settings — Enable customers to select a future pickup time when placing an order. Configure how far in advance customers can schedule, and in what time-slot increments.

📌 If the Reviews and Ratings page is empty, check that Order Ratings is enabled here.

Fees & Charges

Set up optional fees and charges to support your pricing model and local compliance requirements.

  • Tips Setting — Enable tipping at checkout and customise the preset tip options shown to customers.
  • Takeaway Bag Fee — Set an optional fee for takeaway bags, applicable across all or specific outlets.
  • Tax Setting — Configure your applicable tax rate(s) to ensure orders are correctly taxed and your financial reports are accurate.
  • Platform Fee — Set a platform fee that is added to customer orders if required by your business model.
  • Delivery & Small Order Fee — Configure delivery fees and minimum order thresholds.

Customer Communications

Customise the messages your customers receive from Cata.

  • Push Notifications — Create and edit templates for automated app push notifications.
  • System Email Templates — Customise the transactional emails sent to customers.
  • Order Information Message — Add a custom message shown to customers on their Order Details screen after checkout.

Support & Policies

Provide the legal and support content that customers can access within the ordering app.

  • Terms and Conditions — Upload or enter your business Terms & Conditions for customers to review before placing an order.
  • FAQ — Add answers to frequently asked questions that customers can browse in-app for self-service support.
  • Privacy Policy — Enter or link to your Privacy Policy to reassure customers about how their data is handled.
  • Customer Support — Configure the contact options shown to customers when they need help.

Integrations

Configure connections to third-party payment and operational platforms.

  • Adyen — Cata uses Adyen as its payment processing partner. This integration is required to enable payments in the customer app. Contact support@trycata.com for help with Adyen configuration.

KDS / POS Integrations

Connect your Backoffice to third-party Kitchen Display Systems or Point of Sale systems. Supported integrations include:

  • RevelSystems
  • Atlas
  • Branch.io
  • LightSpeed

📌 New integrations and configuration changes for Adyen or KDS/POS systems should be coordinated with the Cata support team at support@trycata.com.
